Undercoating

Almost none of the body was sandblasted, I only sand blasted a few small areas I couldnt get at with any other tool I have.  I used an angle grinder with wire wheel or sandpaper flap wheels to remove rust, paint or seam sealer on the under carriage. I welded in 4 partial floor pans and made a new trunk pan since the old metal was too rusted. The firewall was in terrible shape due to alterations made to allow room for different transmission and engines the car had over the years. Once all the metal work was done I used mastercoat products to clean, prime and topcoat the underside and firewall.

Mastercoat is truly an amazing product to use for protecting against rust.  It's prep work is simple compared to any other product on the market. The rust sealing product that is applied first is silver in color.  If your applying their black topcoat its obvious when you miss a spot since the silver will show you where you missed. Mastercoat has been used to coat bridges and lasted 20+ years.
