Engine

The firebird inline 6 that came to me with the car was froze up. I started tearing it down  to see if a rebuild was possible but there was so much damage and rust that the cost to get the underpowered engine running made no sense. 

I bought a 93 5.7l 350 short block that came out of a 3500 dually from Adam Albee in Rochester that had been bored .030 and completely freshened up. I added the following...

Summit vortec heads

Edelbrock intake manifold

Aluminum radiator dual fans

Summit performance cam, lifters - (roller)

Double roller timing chain

LUK flywheel

Edelbrock carburetor

HEI distributor

Long tube headers

Flowmaster mufflers (purchased early so they could be installed for break in run of motor)

I painted the engine high temp Pontiac blue and restored all pulleys, brackets etc..

Once the engine was fully assembled I installed it in the frame (which was still separated from the body of the car) and then wheeled the frame under the body to ensure it had clearance against the firewall. 

The engine I installed came stock 210hp and with the upgrades I installed I  am guessing it will dyno at 350+ hp. After the car is completely restored and on the street I will be adding a turbo if room permits bringing another 100 hp.
